Hatchback cost less to produce because they are massed produced, and maintenance costs are low because many times they are produced locally and so the parts are easy to come by. Another way in which you save money when buying a hatchback is with fuel costs. Hatchbacks are smaller lighter cars and because of this they use less fuel and so is another great reason to get a hatchback, especially if you are trying to cut costs.

Even though hatchbacks are considered entry level cars and you can get them for much cheaper than other models of cars you should not think that the hatchback is lacking in anyway. Hatchbacks come in many designs and most car manufactures have a hatchback in their range of cars.

The basic types of hatchback, will have none of the extra frills which come along with the top of the range hatchbacks, you still receive a good reliable car, which saves you money and reaches decent speeds but with less of the trimmings. Top of the range hatchbacks however come with as many of the trimmings as you like. Firstly hatchbacks can be bought in a range of colours, and the interiors as well will have you wanting to spend more time inside of the car. Some hatchbacks come with remote controlled MP3 players, USB ports, electric windows, sun roofs, extra compartment space which is found in hidden panels.
